SOAR is an independent, nonpartisan civic writing project built around a simple question: what would the promise of American self-government sound like if its principles were stated plainly, inclusively, and for the future?
The statement is intended as a living civic text, not a partisan platform. It invites Americans of every political persuasion to reflect on equal citizenship, constitutional government, reciprocal liberty, and the shared responsibilities of self-government.
The Statement of American Renewal is offered freely to everyone, without affiliation with any political party, candidate, or campaign. Dedicated to the public domain, it may be read, shared, reproduced, and discussed without permission.
Its purpose is not to tell Americans what to think, but to encourage them to consider what they owe one another and what kind of country they wish to build together.
